The Parkinson Alliance is a unique non-profit organization in that every dollar donated by individuals goes directly to Parkinson's research. This is made possible through its partnership with The Tuchman Foundation — formed to foster philanthropic activities — and its "matching funds program." The Tuchman Foundation's main funding activity is supporting The Parkinson Alliance. As Chairman and Founder of The Tuchman Foundation, Martin Tuchman also directs the matching of all donations to The Parkinson Alliance. All individual donations and the net proceeds of all events are matched dollar for dollar. The matching funds program helps pay the administrative costs for The Parkinson Alliance and makes it possible to guarantee that 100% of all individual donations and 100% of all net proceeds from events go directly to the most promising Parkinson's disease research that will help find the cure for Parkinson's.
