KINGSTON, N.J., September 18, 2017—The Parkinson Alliance announced today that a new fundraiser, Food, Wine, & Maybe Tuscany, will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017, in Princeton University’s Frick Chemistry Building, in Princeton, NJ. Supporters of the Parkinson’s disease community are invited to join The Parkinson Alliance for an evening of food and wine. At the event, guests will have a chance to enter a raffle for a trip for four to Tuscany, Italy, and listen to guest speaker, Tim Hague Sr., who is a Parkinson’s disease advocate, educator, and motivator. This event aims to increase disease awareness and raise funds for research. This event benefits The Parkinson Alliance and proceeds support research into Parkinson’s disease.

“While based in Kingston, NJ, our organization holds different types of fundraisers nationally so that we can help fund vital research into Parkinson’s disease. We are excited to announce that a local committee of long-standing supporters has put together a new food and wine event for The Parkinson Alliance. We invite everyone concerned with helping to fight Parkinson’s disease to join us in November for this new fundraiser, located here in Princeton,” stated Martin Tuchman, Chairman of The Parkinson Alliance.

Parkinson’s disease is a chronic and degenerative neurological disorder that affects at least one million people in the U.S., and approximately 60,000 cases are newly diagnosed each year. “Join us as we come together and show support for those who are living with Parkinson’s disease. Enjoy an evening of global wine and food featuring local restaurants. At the event, you will have a chance to listen to Tim Hague Sr., our guest speaker. He is the winner of The Amazing Race Canada Season #1. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the early age of 46, he is an advocate for people with Parkinson’s disease, and is known for his “Live Your Best” motivational speaking engagements about hope, determination, strength, courage, and perseverance. Another highlight of our event is that you will have a chance to win a trip for four to Tuscany, Italy, worth over $10,000 and includes airfare, hotels, and a villa for seven nights,” said Carol Walton, CEO of The Parkinson Alliance.

We are thankful to our committee members, sponsors including our Premier Sponsor, Berkshire Bank, and participating restaurants for their generous support in this event.

Event space is limited, and guests are encouraged to purchase tickets early. The entrance fee is $100 per person, and each raffle ticket for a chance to win a trip for four to Tuscany, Italy, is $50.
