The Parkinson Alliance Announces the Annual Carnegie Center 5K and Fun Run Will Take Place on Saturday, September 24, 2016, in Princeton, NJ

Bring Your Friends and Family and Join Us in the Fight Against Parkinson’s Disease

KINGSTON, N.J., July 20, 2016 – The Parkinson Alliance announced today that the 17th Annual Carnegie Center 5K and One-Mile Fun Run will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2016, in Princeton, NJ.  The 5K road race is sanctioned by the USA Track & Field (USATF) and is a family friendly fundraiser—proceeds will help fund Parkinson’s disease research.

Since the inception of the race, close to $1,000,000 has been raised for Parkinson’s disease research.  “We welcome all runners and walkers, individuals and teams, and all groups as well as companies to join us in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.  We hope everyone in Central Jersey supports this year’s event.  Register and invite your friends, family, and co-workers to join you,” states Martin Tuchman, Chairman of The Parkinson Alliance.

“Run in our competitively scored 5K race, join our one-mile fun run, and enjoy additional festivities,” said Carol Walton, CEO of The Parkinson Alliance. “We will have massages, team photos, face painting, moon bounces, refreshments, and upscale door prizes.  Fun Run participants will receive medals; awards will be given to top runners and teams competing in the 5K race.  We are proud to offer a Parkinson’s Information booth to event participants—a movement disorders specialist and our sponsors will provide educational information on therapies and resources,” added Walton.

At the event, Gail Ruderman will be presented with the King Award for her service and dedication to the Parkinson’s disease community.  The King Award recognizes a group’s or an individual’s dedication and commitment to the Parkinson’s community and was created in memory of Joseph G. Fennelly, a generous philanthropist and long term volunteer for The Parkinson Alliance.

To date, this year’s event is supported by over forty sponsors, including Boston Properties who is the host of our event.

To join us, visit to register and/or donate, or call (800) 579-8440.
